
The 2025 Annual ASCO Meeting will be held from May 30th to June 3rd this year in Chicago. The Annual ASCO Meeting gathers inspirational oncologists, researchers, and patient advocates in the cancer field to connect and discuss cutting-edge research and clinical practice.
This year on May 30th, Dr. Gyawali will be speaking at the pre-ASCO Common Sense Oncology (CSO) Symposium from 4:30 to 6:00pm CDT at the UIC Student Center West. Later, find Dr. Gyawali receiving the Yvonne Award for Challenging the Status Quo at the OncoDaily Party: Chicago Lights Edition on May 30th from 9:00pm to 12:00am CDT at River Roast.
On May 31st, Dr. Gyawali will be recognized as a new Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO) recipient at the Opening Session from 9:30am to 12:00pm CDT in N Hall B1 at McCormick Place Convention Center. The title of FASCO recognizes Dr. Gyawali’s exemplary volunteer service to benefit the Society, the oncology field, and patients.
Later, Dr. Gyawali will be receiving the 40 Under 40 in Cancer Award at a cocktail reception at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago from 8:00pm to 11:00pm CDT. Join the party to celebrate Dr. Gyawali and the other 2025 winners!
Finally, on June 2nd Dr. Gyawali will chair the session, ‘Treatment Innovations in Pancreatic Cancer: Balancing Hope and Expectations’ related to the recently published ASCO book chapter: Treatment Innovations in Pancreatic Cancer: Putting Patient Priorities First. Join to learn about emerging treatment areas for pancreatic cancer, effective communication and interpretation of evidence, and perspectives on research developments. This session will be held from 3:00 to 4:15pm CDT in room E451, with Dr. Gyawali presenting from 3:30 to 3:45pm on ‘Enhancing the Generation, Interpretation, and Communication of Evidence About Pancreatic Cancer.’
