Dr. Bishal Gyawali was announced as one of the 2024 Canadian Cancer Society Awards for Excellence recipients. He received the 2024 William E. Rawls Prize for outstanding achievements in cancer control research (early career).
The William E. Rawls Prize recognizes early-career investigators whose work has provided significant and importance advancements in cancer control. This award recognizes Dr. Gyawali’s dedication to improving cancer care at multiple levels; he strives to increase patient involvement and advocacy in cancer research, mentor diverse trainees across the globe, tackle financial and policy barriers, and improve clinical trials and drug approval processes to promote value-based care for patients.
