Global Oncology

In our global oncology work, we partner with several international collaborators to improve cancer outcomes globally. Specially, a majority of our current and previous work has gone towards improving outcomes in Nepal and India. Additionally, we seek to provide awareness on various topics across global oncology through our work in Global Education. Our research interests include access to and prioritization of cancer drugs in LMICs including the WHO Essential Medicines List, LMIC participation in oncology clinical trials, global cancer policy, and financial toxicity in LMICs. Dr. Gyawali is a member of the WHO Essential Medicines List Committee where he offers his expertise to decide on inclusion of cancer drugs in the list.
